What to Expect
Enjoy a private motorboat experience with an English-speaking captain, ideal for a relaxed and scenic day along the Ligurian coast. We always recommend adding a private guide for a more enriching experience. A private guide is available for the duration of the tour.
Your captain will be waiting for you at a convenient meeting point at Portofino’s port, holding a sign with your name on it.
From the moment you step on board, the atmosphere changes.
Leaving the harbor of Portofino, you begin cruising along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in Italy, where the sea meets steep cliffs, hidden coves, and elegant seaside villages.
The journey takes you through the Gulf of Tigullio and into the more untouched beauty of the Gulf of Paradiso, where the landscape becomes quieter, more authentic, and deeply connected to the rhythm of the sea.
Seen from the water, this coastline reveals its true character.
Small inlets appear between the rocks, colorful villages emerge along the shore, and the water shifts between deep blue and clear turquoise. There is no fixed pace — only the freedom to move, stop, and enjoy each moment.
At times, the only sound around you is the water against the boat and the quiet of the coastline.
Throughout the day, you will have time to swim and snorkel in clear waters, especially within the Portofino Marine Protected Area, known for its rich marine life and pristine environment.
Your captain will guide the experience naturally, suggesting the most scenic spots while adapting to sea conditions and your preferences.
You may also stop in some of the most charming villages along the coast, such as San Fruttuoso, with its iconic abbey by the sea, Santa Margherita Ligure, elegant and lively, or Camogli, known for its colorful waterfront and authentic atmosphere.
Here, you can take time to walk along the harbor, explore at your own pace, or stop for lunch at a local seaside restaurant (not included), enjoying the simple and fresh flavors of Ligurian cuisine.
As the day unfolds, you return to the boat and continue your cruise, relaxing on board and taking in the final views of the coastline before heading back to Portofino.
