What to Expect

Your 4-hour private Pompeii walking tour will be led by a professional licensed guide, offering a deeper and more immersive exploration of one of the world’s most extraordinary archaeological sites.

Your guide will meet you outside the entrance of Pompeii at the Suisse Restaurant, holding a sign with your name for easy recognition.

Pompeii is one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world. Buried under volcanic ash after the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, the city remained hidden for centuries until its rediscovery in the 18th century. Today, it stands as an extraordinary open-air museum, allowing visitors to walk through the streets of a Roman city frozen in time.

During this extended four-hour guided tour, you will explore many of the most important areas of Pompeii, including:

• The Forum, the political and social heart of the ancient city
• The Theaters, where Romans gathered for entertainment
• The Thermal Baths
• Ancient streets, shops, and houses decorated with frescoes and mosaics
• The impressive Amphitheater, one of the oldest surviving Roman amphitheaters
• The remarkable Villa of the Mysteries, famous for its extraordinary frescoes depicting mysterious Dionysian rituals

With more time to explore, your archaeologist guide will reveal the daily life, culture, and dramatic final moments of Pompeii’s inhabitants, transforming the ruins into a vivid journey through ancient Roman history.
