What to Expect
Your experience begins with a meeting at your hotel or at a convenient location in Cernobbio, where your private English-speaking hiking guide will be waiting to welcome you.
From here, you will enjoy a pleasant walk to the pier and board a public ferry, beginning a scenic crossing of Lake Como toward Cernobbio. As the boat moves across the water, the landscape gradually opens, offering your first glimpse of the elegant shoreline and surrounding mountains.
Upon arrival, the atmosphere gently shifts. From the lakeside, your path rises into the hills above Cernobbio, where ancient stone stairways and narrow paths lead you through quiet villages and timeless corners shaped by local life.
As you continue along these historic trails, nature begins to take over. The surroundings become increasingly peaceful, and the paths open onto breathtaking panoramic viewpoints, where the lake stretches out below, framed by mountains and dotted with elegant villas.
Along the way, you will encounter traces of traditional life, from terraced landscapes to subtle signs of past rural activities, offering a deeper connection to the history and character of the area.
At one of the most scenic points of the hike, you will pause for a relaxing picnic. Surrounded by nature and silence, you will enjoy fresh bread, local bresaola, and regional cheese — a simple and authentic expression of the flavors of Lake Como.
The experience continues at a natural, unhurried pace, allowing you to fully take in the landscape, the quiet atmosphere, and the unique feeling of being immersed in a lesser-known side of the lake.
This journey reveals Lake Como from a different perspective — shaped by nature, history, and authentic beauty, experienced step by step along its most scenic paths.
