Our story began in 1966, when Gino Pauciullo started guiding travelers across Italy and Europe. Today, Mondo Guide works with a network of more than 100 professional licensed guides, welcoming guests from around the world.
Through our longstanding collaboration with leading travel expert Rick Steves, and with more than 10,000 reviews on platforms such as TripAdvisor, Viator, and GetYourGuide our mission is to create travel experiences that combine local expertise, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Founded by Gino, Mondo Guide has grown from a pioneering network of professional guides into a trusted Destination Management Company serving travelers worldwide.
Today, under the leadership of Vincenzo and Brunella Pauciullo, the company combines decades of expertise, family tradition, and innovation to deliver authentic, high-quality travel experiences across Italy and Europe.
Our Story
The history of Mondo Guide begins with its founder Gino, who started his career as a tour leader in 1966, guiding travelers throughout Italy and Europe.
Through years of collaboration with leading international tour operators, Gino developed strong professional relationships and deep expertise in the travel industry.
In 1972, together with other partners, he founded GTA – Guide Turistiche Autorizzate, the first tourist guide association in Italy.
A few years later, in 1976, Gino and several members of GTA founded Sireon Tours Sorrento, expanding their role in providing professional guiding services and tour operations for international travel agencies.
In 2006, GTA evolved into Mondo Guide, expanding its services and becoming a modern destination management company while maintaining its strong roots in professional guiding.
A Shared Vision
In 2013, Mondo Guide embarked on a defining collaboration with renowned travel expert Rick Steves, a pioneer in promoting authentic and accessible travel experiences.
Inspired by Rick Steves’ vision and sharing the belief that travel should be available to everyone, we introduced Shared Tours in the Campania region — later expanded into Shared Trips — offering high‑quality, small‑group experiences at fair and transparent prices.
We are deeply grateful to Rick Steves for his inspiration and friendship. His belief that travelers should experience a destination without spending a fortune or being taken advantage of reflects the values that guide our work every day.
We share the same vision: travel should be authentic, accessible, and enriching — allowing people from all walks of life to discover the beauty of our world.
